The new who?????
Joss Stone was being considered the new Janis Joplin when she originally hit the scene. I bought this album expecting to be fully immersed in an emotional triumph of a record. This CD left me barren. While it is a decently produced album, it is very run of the mill R&B tripe that can be easily reproduced by anyone.

I almost pissed myself laughing at this!
I was in the Navy when this album came out. So far removed my gay life and almost did not buy the cassette when I found it in the ship's store for the usual fears. But, I did anyway. I took this down to Cargo Hold 4 aboard the U.S.S. Sylvania and we all just laughed and laughed and laughed until our sides were hurting.
Peppered with show-tune like numbers such as 'Fat as I Am' and 'Otto Titsling' this album was to be representative of the type of shows she was doing in the New York bathhouse scene where she was discovered way back in the early 70's.
This CD is an absulute pisser, even during some of the slower pieces like 'Why Bother?'. She does her Sohie Tucker bit and in 'Taking Aim' she does just that. She slams everyone from Madonna to Meryl Streep and takes no prisoners. This comedy album stands right up with Eddie Murhy's releases in hilarity. Of course, the material is dated. But if you were born before 1976, you will definitely understand every piece of commentary she is making. Especially regarding cokeheads and Los Angelos' need for high colonics, an emerging trend at the time.

Wicked graphics and great fun.
I bought this at the behest of one of my band members so we had it for breaks durig recording sessions. Unfortunately for me, I developed ruptered tendons a few days before it arrived so I had my buddy play it for this review.
The graphics and storyline are top notch. The interaction of the characters and the names the enemies call you during play are outrageous, especially if you are familiar with Spanish.
What I enjoyed the most was the difficulty getting through levels. This is not being spoon-fed to the player as are a lot of games. Yes, there are adaquate hints and guides throughout play to help get you where you need to be, but the rest relies soley upon the player.
I can see why this game was on the request list and why it rated so high with gamers everywhere.
