Good way out of a dead battery car if push comes to shove.
Generally OK as a tool for cutting a seat belt and for a way out of vehicle-by breaking out a side window. It's not as heavy as a regular hammer so it's limited to a side windows. It is not rated for a front or rear window. It fits fine in a glove box and with some training could also serve as a useful self-defense tool.

It's effective and can help stop car theft
It works fine to block the electronic broadcast of the smart key code. Of course wrapping the key in aluminum foil does the something. To be complete one needs find a good way to lock/block access to the car/truck OBD2 on-board engine control module (ECM) access port.
