Modern tapes are dead but Retrospekt is awesome
The tape is good looking and sounds ok but there is a lot wrong. It’s not Retrospekt’s fault at all and is entirely the fault of new tape’s quality. When playing in quiet parts of the song, the other side plays through a little bit. The sound goes in and out of left and right speakers. The sad truth is three stars is my opinion of the overall quality of the sound of the tape. They can’t make good tapes anymore due to the fact that new formulas and methods of making the tape are not as good as before. I love the album and I love what Retrospekt is doing but it’s the issue with the materials they have to work with. Buy this stuff though. Push up the demand. As we buy more the manufacturers will make better stuff. Maybe, idrk but I want good tapes again.
