Runs okay, truck springs need adjusting
1 of 1 found this helpful The locomotive runs quietly and smoothly, but the pony truck and lead truck on the tender need their springs adjusted. They lack sufficient pressure to stay on the track and cause stoppages of derailments. Fortunately, I'm sure this can be adjusted so they track properly. Other than that, it's not a bad loco.

A Fantastic Little Loco.
This Shay by Bachman is a highly detailed and very well built model. It is accurate down to the drive rods and eccentrics and the drive axle turning the geared drive wheels. It runs at scale speed (SLOW) and is a delight to watch. It's operation is both smooth and quiet and it tracks accurately. In short, a great piece of work.
