This product does does not need a hub supposedly. While it is true that you can connect it to HomeKit without a hub is practically unusable
0 of 3 found this helpful It disconnects constantly unless you have it set up with a home pod or one of the last generations Apple TV. Therefore the statement of no hub needed is false. there is also no connection to this decora devices if you are not on the same WiFi network without a hub which prevents you from doing have of the automatización you might desire. If you have a WiFi extender and you phone and the switch connect to a different source there goes your connection to the switch as well. I advise to only get this if you already own a HomePod. I bought several that switches that I could not return so I ended up buying a HomePod; but again the no needing a hub statement is terribly insincere since it no only needs one but also the most expensive kind.
