Adequate protection without the bulk.
This case is exactly what I wanted. It provides protection from scuffs and scratches while adding very little bulk, plus it improves my grip on the phone.

Beautifully photographed, complete field guide.
This is a gorgeous, large book full of beautiful photographs. As an amateur photographer I have a good idea how good the photo has to be to really show all the colors and physical characteristics of a particular bird and this book does that very well. I love looking through it but I bought it primarily for my kids (ages 8,10,12) and the older two argue over it. So it seems to have even more appeal for younger ones than it does me.

Remote not functioning, can't access all features

I bought this used and unfortunately the remote doesn't seem to work properly (play, stop, fast forward, etc don't work even with fresh batteries) so I have to use my TV remote for some things and the BT100 remote for volume. Music CD's play through all speakers (mostly the center channel speaker) and without a functioning remote I can't change it to stereo play, assuming it's even possible. The unit itself doesn't have a full array of control buttons so I'm unable to make adjustments unless I use the faulty remote or my Panasonic tv remote... very annoying. I know not all BT100's are going to have the same problem but I can only review the one I have. Still a nice machine for movie watching. The first one we put in was 'Quantum of Solice' and the opening scene, a car chase with loads of squeeling tires and machine gun fire, sounds awesome. The subwoofer sounds good for what it is, a passive sub (not powered), but a sub with it's own amp would be much better. The wireless rear surround speakers are a sort of hybrid wireless. There is a clunky wireless reciever that you have to plug in to an outlet and then run wires to your rear surrounds from it. This is still better than trying to hide wires all the way across your room or inside your walls. The front speakers are fairly heavy, no doubt due to a larger magnet to handle the majority of the sound either from movies or music and I would stack their sound quality up against most any mid priced speaker of similar size. Overall I'm happy with the machine and intend to purchase a factory replacement remote to see if that gives me full access to the player's functions. Thanks
