Solid, easy to use anvil for the new ring maker.

This is a well made, beginner friendly, anvil for someone getting into making rings. While the mandrel is solid enough, it only goes up to US size 14 which is a problem for my fat fingers that range in size on my dominant hand from 15 to 17. I did purchase a different mandrel because of that but otherwise I am happy with my purchase.

Stiff and locking mechanism cut wrong

I have lubricated the lock box several times now but it is tight and stiff and doesn't move nicely. The ratchet locking mechanism angles are too steep and VERY difficult to unlock with just one hand. Overall these are cheap and will get a job done but will cause headaches in the long run.
