Think I've figured-out why these were what was left-over, previous owner must have built two bridges for stations with island middle platform, that is why all the base for track level and complete set of stairs but no bridges. Already found several uses for what I've got. Plenty of useful parts, certainly got value at the price, entirely happy with my purchase.

a watch-out for anyone with older UNIMAT...
a watch-out for anyone with older UNIMAT, the clamps have changed from cross-point screw (and who does not have a screwdriver of that type) to hex-socket bolts (and you might not have an alen-key of the correct size).
Otherwise a good set of items, I'll be using the hex-bolt clamps where I need to do fewer adjustments or changes (so the motor unit for one).
Would have been nice if the kit had contained the correct Alen-key
