Effective

Very effective in operation and would almost pay for itself if you have a lot of hedge cutting and chainsawing to do rather than use a professional. The biggest draw back is the way it is balanced. It is very front heavy to hold for long periods. The chainsaw is great for a battery model ,the technique is to lift it up and rest on the branch to be cut ,then power up. It cuts about a five inch diameter. Beware the branch falling leaving the cutter very front heavy. At least the cutter is well away from the operator so is safe. The hardest part is picking up the cut branches/ twigs, I got my wife to do that!
