Wonderful memories
Collection contains all the awesome classics you'll remember. Many "later" compositions that I don't recall at all. I must have graduated from college & stopped watching NFL films by that time. Many of the later pieces I don't care for at all & never listen to. They have a movie soundtrack quality, over the top, too dramatic, and don't resemble the earlier attempts that were so good. Considering I only listen to 3 or 4 of my favorite discs, the collection is pricey, but I'm still glad I purchased it. A small price to pay to have those tunes ringing in your ears that bring back so many amazing memories. For what it's worth, the football texture cover and sleeves that hold the discs are pretty cool.

Nice condensed quick reference
Chock full of photos, period ads, etc... although small (photos), it's just fine. Text is by the chumps, um, I mean auto editors at Consumer Guide and they regurgitate every negative stereotype about various cars from the 40's.... like the "pregnant elephant" term some(?) used to describe the '48 to '50 Packards, give it a rest. It was probably a single journalist that coined it, not the masses. Aside from these worn out "facts" and some other incorrect assessments by the genius' at Consumer Guide, it's well worth owning as a quick reference, and can be found used at $15 or less.
