Sirui nails the compact tripod
2 of 2 found this helpful They’ve done an amazing job with this model. With the ball head it’s about 1kg or around 800g without. It folds down to absolutely nothing, around 33cm.
The new B-00K ball head is very easy to use and doesn’t get in the way of the reverse folding legs. The Arca style plate is compact and easy to remove and mount with a screw. Feels secure so top marks there.
The legs are carbon fibre all the way. And they’re a twist lock type. It’s a quarter turn to unlock/lock and very quick to set up.
The price is below what you’d pay for a Manfrotto Befree Carbon which is what I was initially looking for, but this is better in a lot of ways (more compact, lighter, better leg folding mechanism).
