Supertramp, what a band!
What can you say, just an excellent band............. I first heard them whilst being on Radio leicester, I was 'given' the 12" LP to review at home, absolutly superb. I have just ordered the CD version and looking forward to that.

Quality telephone, but!
I (did) use for many years, use the BT 'Easicom 1000' an excellent home phone with large LCD display, did everything I needed, but, being 8+ years old, the screens are going corrupt and is getting very dificult to read. This 'Converse 2300' was the nearest I could find for a quality home phone, and it does the job reasonably well, apart from a couple of niggles. (1) no backlit display, (2) no visual indication of missed call event etc., there is a red LED on the phone, but, only flashes with incoming calls rings, then goes off, would be ideal to have it indicate a missed call or event etc., No backlit display is totally stuiped, why not? a small bulb or LED, would suffice. Apart from that, it seems a quality phone, nice and clear audio, has an amplifier works with both speaker and earpiece. ..... Would I buy another? errr.... I'd look around first, but, if you find one at a good price, then OK. I paid approx. £25 each for mine, the original price was a lot higher apparently!

Sony XDRS 50B DAB portable radio, not so good!
2 of 3 found this helpful Having been a Sony fan for a long time, half my house if full of Sony gear, I was totally disappointed in their XDRS50B portable I recently purchased. Whilst the radio worked fine, the tiny internal speaker let the radio down and in my opinion, sounded tinny! Connected (headphone output) to a Hi Fi, the sound was excellent. I'm sure Sony could improve, as other small radios use a similar size driver with far superior results!
