Perfect for my back!
Both my wife and I suffer from diseases that affect our joints and muscles. We are only in our 40's but we were in need of something more than our CA King mattress. I was waking up at night all night long with my hips or shoulders hurting to the point of not being able to sleep. To be honest, our pillowtop bed seemed to lose its comfortableness at some point. So, I decided to look into the Comfort Select 3" memory foam mattress pad.
It came in a box that my wife questioned whether or not it was CA King. I assured her that it would shape itself and be a perfect fit for our bed, and it did. It took probably 48 hours to completely poof out to its normal size. Yes, 3 inches is a bit much, probably could've lived with a 2" and I am sure the 4" wouldn't allow any of us to get on our bed. The extra 3 inches made our bed extremely tall but I can live with that. Our little dog, on the other hand, can no longer get on the bed without assistance.
The first night sleeping on this mattress topper, my body took a little bit of time to adjust to the "differentness" that it was experiencing as it has been in the same mattress for 10 years now. However, I will say that it was the best nights sleep that I had had in a very long time. I usually sleep on my side. When I sleep on my back, it hurts my lower back to the point that I can't move when I awake. Well, in the middle of the night, I found my self on my back numerous times without any pain. The same can be said for my wife. She ends up on her back and snores away. I have to tell her that she is snoring. ;)
It does leave a dent in the mattress where you sleep and it takes some time to conform back to normal but that isn't a big deal. The ONLY drawback that we have found is that it is HOT! Keep in mind that this material will make your body sleep at a higher temperature. I sweat a lot during the middle of the night. I usually would have hot flashes occasionally anyway but I find myself on numerous nights waking up completely soaked in sweat. We have read that there are pads/covers to go on top that will make this pad feel a little cooler at night. We are definitely going to try this. Keep in mind that it is not every night and we do have many blankets on our bed including two down comforters and we keep the heat low at night. Again, this is the ONLY negative thing that I can say about this 3" topper. It has changed the way that I sleep. I feel so much better in the morning and I sleep well during the night. I love to get in bed at night and just curl into a ball with the blankets and my wife and sink into the mattress pad. It really is that nice!
This review was written by a man that has a serious auto-immune disease that affects all of his joints but his back the most. Ankilosing Spondylitis is a very painful condition to have. However, this Comfort Select 5.5 Memory Foam Mattress Pad Topper is allowing me to live somewhat a normal life as I am able to get a good nights sleep and during those days when I have to stay in bed due to this condition, it no longer hurts sitting or laying on the bed. Definitely worth the price paid and it wasn't even that much. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. It is well worth it. I think the 3" pad is perfect for a 180 lb man and a 115 lb woman.

Great crossbow. Barnett makes some of the best and this deal was just too hard to pass up. Great condition and I'm excited to use it over the next month during the 2016 hunting season.
