THE best AI for the price? I think not...

Everyone raves about this interface, but it does not live up to the hype. It's billed as THE best cheap AI -- a too-good-to-be-true claim. Preamps have the most gain in class but they're not the quietest. That honor belongs to M-Audio's and Motu's gear. Frankly, though everyone also raves about the styling, it appeared cheap and poorly designed up close. The smooth-sided gain buttons were a pain to set, also stumpy and uncomfortable to use with larger fingers. And get ready to set your gain lower -- any inputs that peak over -6 dB will be hard-limited by the software -- an undoable feature no one ever talks about.

Affordable AND good? YES!

Purchased this AI based off YouTuber Julian Krause's comparison review, and it does not disappoint. It's hard to believe something so affordable could be this good. Pre's are super quiet (on par with my Focusrite Clarett!), decent 55dB of gain, non-invasive and easy-to-use software, AND superb styling. Well-conceived layout makes it a joy to use.
