Keeps my pond looking great
These bulbs fit the 13 W UV sterilizer. They last about a year and keep the water crystal clear. Don’t expect them to work for string algae though! You need a barley straw product for that.

Great cure for murky water
I have a small pond that often gets very murky in the spring until the water lilies get going enough to shade out the algae. A couple of years ago, after repotting the lilies, they were slow to recover and the pond pretty much stayed green and opaque. I finally decided to give a UV filter a try and purchased this one as it seemed about the right size for a small pond and was very affordable. I hooked it up in line with a pump in the holding tank where clean water comes back from the gravel filter and the output goes into the main pond. It worked wonderfully and pretty much cleared the water to looking transparent within a couple of days. Last year I noticed the water getting murky again and saw that the pilot light was out, so it needed a new bulb. Once that was installed (very easy to do) the water cleared again in a few days. I just keep it running at all times. Makes the pond a lot nicer to look at!
One important point is that it is not effective against string algae! Water has to flow through it to work. String algae just fouls the pump before the water can get into the filter. Use barley straw or powdered barley to control stringy stuff without poison.

Nice device once it gets connected
The Dental Spa seems like a good deal. It is quiet, doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, the flow and temperature of the water is easily adjustable and there is no need to refill a tank halfway through “flossing”. As no water is left standing in a reservoir, forming an algae farm seems unlikely. The quality of the components appears to be high although I haven’t had it long enough to be able to say how durable it is. It stays connected to the faucet at all times, so it sort of changes the aesthetics of the bath area from custom to clinic but my fixtures aren’t so high end that this really bothers me. Furthermore, water in our area is very hard, with a lot of dissolved minerals and that wears out anything it flows through fairly quickly, so the fact that it will not cost a bundle to replace it is appealing.
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to issues with getting it connected. It is made to fit into a socket where an aerator screws into a faucet head but the aerator on my faucet is in a housing that screws onto the outside of a 3/4'” spout. All of the connector adapters are made to allow it to screw INTO a metric socket whereas I needed something to allow it to screw ONTO a pipe measured in fractions of an inch. The diverter itself can be screwed onto a 22mm pipe but finding an adapter to fit it to my faucet was not so easy. It came with with stainless steel adapter that can be used if you have the correct size of aerator and several different plastic adapters for other sizes. I contacted the seller and while they had a hard time understanding the problem until I was able to send pictures. They responded promptly but basically just told me to keep trying with the adapters provided. Ultimately I used a short length of ¾” flexible tubing to join the parts and held it in place with hose clamps. It doesn’t really look too bad and hasn’t leaked or popped off after getting the clamps tightened. Truly, It doesn’t take much flow from the tap to get a powerful stream with this thing, so it isn’t necessary to turn the pressure up so high that getting a sudden explosion is much of a risk.
The attached images show the disparity between my faucet and the diverter and the final hook-up.
The only other thing I will mention is to be careful about the position of the diverter lever when you finish using it or you may get sprayed the next time you want to wash your hands.
