More than just a paperweight

I bought it here because of the price(HD-A35 and 6 movies), I missed my opportunity when the last new ones I saw for $170 sold out a month ago and the prices quickly skyrocketed to over $400! This player was an upgrade to my previous HD-A2. Great features include analog 5.1 channel outputs for the onboard Dolby decoder and a flawless 1080p picture. The HD-A35 plays all my HD-DVD's so far even the ones that refused to play on my A2 and the online update finally worked as well. I haven't been able to try all the bells and whistles yet like the 5.1 ch output to match with my recievers 5.1 ch inputs or the superior audio available by using the HDMI into a reciever. The A2 also had issues with subtitles that aren't present here, I don't speak italian and watching the second half of The Godfather without subtitles is annoying.

Great deal

This set is great, this os one of those shows that you NEED to see in HD when it airs(this and CSI). Now to watch older episodes on HD is perfect, catch up on the previous season when the new one comes out, etc.. I already had it on my computer but now it's in full HD so it's even better. I have season 2 on BluRay since HDDVD was defunct when it would've come out.

Not ceramic coated

These are just painted black and the paint burns right off when you have them on your motor.
