Benny Goodman Jamming at the Rainbow Grill
This is one terrific album of jazz from the private collection of the King of Swing playing live at the Rainbow Grill. It is the sort of unrehearsed music with Goodman in the lead, accompanied by some of the best and most illustrious sidemen in the business, that you could possibly want to listen to in your own living room or dining room as you imagine yourself being there on the dance floor. With the band surrounded by the hum and cheers of enthusiastic diners and dancers you feel like you're right there with them. As a clarinetist myself, I simply could not resist joining Benny and the others on the bandstand playing these favorites. Don't miss it. Make a date with the person you love for a romantic evening at the "Rainbow." This is a true jam session, the likes of which you will rarely hear anywhere in the style in which it was first offered.
