RH Cometti is one of New Zealands most respected Artists but he passed away just a few weeks before this book was published. Sadly he never got to see the completed article. This book is well researched and wonderfully written and superbly illustrated, as RH Cometti is famous for. This book concentrates on the natural history of New Zealand right through to present day. His previous books include Margins of the Sea, Little Barrier Island New Zealands Foremost Wildlfe Sanctury, New Zealand Forest Treasures and A Natural History of Auckland have all become collectors items following his death.
