    Gears of War game engine
I remember playing Unreal 2 for the PC and never really got into the Tournament series. This game is fast paced and fun. Gears of War for the Xbox 360 and Turok have both used this beautiful game engine and yet the original is in every way as good. I am giving it a four of five rating for my only gripe, which is that it doesn't have a split screen multiplayer mode. The developers opted for an online multiplayer mode instead. If you can find this game for around $20, do yourself a favor. It is also playable with a keyboard and mouse on the PS3 if you prefer that game control.

NEW HD Component AV Video-Audio Cable Cord For PS2 PS3 Slim SC2
    Jul 20, 2016
Inexpensive must have for your PS2
I recently purchased a Playstation 2 and had been looking at a way to get a better picture quality from it than the standard composite (red, yellow, white RCA plugs) could provide. Unlike it's contemporary the Gamecube, the PS2 I found can connect with an inexpensive component cable (this one). The Gamecube on the other hand requires some special inline resistors that are found in it's rare and expensive component cable. If you have a Gamecube the cheapest path is the lesser s-video cable connection, or play your games on a Wii console using component cable as that system runs Gamecube games perfectly. But back to the PS2, the picture quality on my HD Sony WEGA Trinitron tube is very much improved with this cable. The image is much sharper, the colors are more rich and their are a wider range of them. I haven't tested it, but can only assume that the picture quality using this component cable on an LCD television would be equally as impressive. My short recommendation is that if you have a Playstation 2 and are looking for a better picture quality, or Playstation 3 and don't have HDMI, this cable is a must have upgrade for your games.

Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball (Nintendo SNES, 1994)
    Oct 22, 2015
Best Baseball game on the SNES
I remember playing baseball games with friends on the SNES growing up such as Roger Clemens MVP Baseball. But Ken Griffey Jr Presents MLB was by far the most fun. Sure it didn't feature real players because it didn't have the MLB license that year, but it did feature real teams and real fun. The music was great, the character animations and temperament were amazing too. I remember players breaking bats and yelling "AHHH COME ON!!". Ahh, good times.
