Sturdy build top of the line sewing machine
3 of 3 found this helpful The machine is very sturdy build and very strong even though not comparable with the real bodybuilders build by Pfaff in the late 50's/early 60's, the 260/360 series. Those machines are also quieter than the 7550. The real strength of the Pfaff 7500 series are the various very neat computer driven utiility and embroidery stitches available on these machines. These quality sewing machines are not build any longer If you can put your hands on one, I would say, go ahead, always ask a lot of questions about the condition it's in before buying.
The secret for keeping these machines running smooth is by taking good care of them. Avoid banging anything into the machine, keep it clean and always use one drop of sewing machine oil in the bobbin case every day before you start sewing and finally have it serviced regularly (once a year) by a reputable Pfaff serviceman
This is a top of the line sewing machine only comparable with equally featured Berninas.
