Ease of use
To dictate, this is a great unit. I use it effectively with Nuance Dragon 13. Connection? PC picks up the unit easily, so did the iPad and iPhone. Cord free is easy when managing numerous papers, books in study 'mode'. As a "listen to music" item, it is fine. Obviously dedicated headphones would surpass, but these are really quite good (My Jabra is stereo). Quality build is fairly robust, mic tucks away out of the way when not in use and the pouch to store it in is a great little package. I should see many years of use for this item.

Tough, Efficient and Essential
1 of 1 found this helpful Used Garmin GPS units for many years now. On par, the 64s is Reliable, it Has to be considering the places I go. Taken drops on solid rock and just keeps going. The 64s has Numerous features that have Real Use and not gimmick. ie bearing direction, 'go to' functions, tracking, low battery 'beep' warning, etc I take my remote bush walks and treks very seriously and am satisfied that Garmin also understand this in producing a quality product. The ability to customise your screens is a favourite also. So much in such a small device.

It Works
It feels and looks cheap. But it does work and quite well at that. I can 'zero' in on a specific spot to get a reading. Used the gun to locate a heat source on an open heavily wired electrical box. I knew heat was coming out but who was the culprit? The gun specifically located a small connection at 59deg compared to 20's elsewhere. Look after the gun by keeping it in its own protected box and it should last well. Next is to test the heat of the truck engine compared to the guage on the dash, but will attempt to 'calibrate' the gun as I compare other known heat sources first.
