New Mooer E-lady Classic Analog Flanger Micro Guitar Effects Pedal!!! ElecLady
Feb 14, 2017
e-lady pedal from Mooer is outstanding
This pedal is the second version of the earlier Mooer elec-lady, a nod to the classic, wonderful sounding first edition Electro Harmonix three-knob "Electric Mistress" as used by David Gilmour and others. That EH unit was discontinued less than a year before EH replaced it with the "Deluxe Electric Mistress." There have been several attempts to clone the original three-knob version, with varying results. The e-lady captures the sound, sparkle and texture of the original in a well-planned control layout and "mini" footprint. The pedal is quiet and sounds wonderful. I've played for forty years and have had a lot of equipment! This is a keeper. I currently use a switching system that can toggle this unit between a May 1969 Marshall "plexi" JMP 50 Tremelo with a '70 basket-weave 4x12" cabinet, and two blackface Fender Twin Reverbs loaded with Fender JBLs. Although not stereo, the Mooer unit feeds into a TC Electronics Chorus/Flanger that provides stereo outs, one to each Twin. On the Marshall side, the e-lady gets a little analog echo, and can be driven with a boost, overdrive or distortion pedal with no problem. On the clean side, it sounds great with or without added chorus or echo, although I typically use it with a Boss DD-2 echo and at times with the TC Electronics Chorus. Either way, it is a great piece of gear. The only reservation I have is that it is made in China, and my experiences with some Chinese-made gear have been bad (breakdowns). But this unit was inexpensive enough that once I tried the first one, I immediately bought three more for backup. This is the best "mini" pedal I've tried, and it doesn't suffer from the problems some other "mini" pedals have. Simply put, it's awesome, I was very surprised.
ROBIN TROWER New Sealed Ltd Ed 2017 WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO VINYL RECORD
Jun 27, 2017
A great album from a Master Musician
Robin Trower, at 72, can blow the doors off any of his contemporaries. He is equally on par with Jeff Beck, easily surpasses the musicality and technique of Eric Clapton, and has a prodigious output that is simply amazing to discover. Why he isn't more recognized and revered is a mystery. This album is excellent in every respect, from the music, the sound, to the packaging. Highly recommended.
Hard-Shell Charvel Guitar Case
Apr 10, 2018
Excellent road-worthy case
This is the second SKB "Charvel" case I've bought recently for two guitars I customized using Charvel Japan parts. The case is rugged, the latches strong and easy to use, and plenty of padding, internal support and exterior build strength to throw in an airline cargo hold. It may get dirty and scraped up a bit in there, but that's not the point. It will protect the guitar, probably just as well as an Anvil case or one made like an Anvil. This case will fit a Strat and leaves room for an extended bottom horn as seen on some custom shredder guitars. This case is very well made and very affordable. I'm very pleased.
