RATINGS GAME
This isn't a great movie. I basicly bought it for New Jersey references and the few seconds of animation. This actually was released in the 80's but I suppose the dvd release needed something in the copywrite dept. and the movie was re released as the Mogul.
I will say this, I wouldn't be surprised if headlines one day in the near future blare the headlines about a ratings swindle. This is what the story is about. It is cool to see Reah Pearlmen and Danny Devito share the screen. Its a fun romp and if you like quirky movies, then check it out. It's cheap to buy.

What a Toy
Amazing toy. I buy used and look for warranty/serial number for product. If you get one with a serial number that will count as year warranty and you have problems, you are covered. Apple was real cool with my purchase.

KOVACS
This guy was ahead of his time...or just right for his time. Either way he should be considered a treasure. His work in the early days of television should be viewed by all aspiring film/video students.
Technically the work is crude, but the camera placement, p.o.v., sound fx etc. all that was crude then compared to todays standards.
Early t.v. had it's shining moments, Rod Serling's Twilight Zone is another. Good storytelling with excited vision for the medium made for some wothwhile viewing on the "boobtube". Kovacs is another star that burned out too quickly.
Check it out.
