clasp looks good but doesn't stay shut

clasp is great looking the center pearl is of very good quality...but the major portion of the clasp the box part does not stay shut !! you MUST have the extra safety loop attached or the slightest tug will loosen the clasp and the necklace falls off..constantly adjusting the opening (the lack of spring to the box clasp part) doesn't help... I won't buy another.
