Works well
I've only had it a couple weeks, but so far it appears to be more reliably recognized by my iPad than my first interface, which was a non HD iRig. It does what you'd expect it to do: bring your guitar's signal into the iPad to be used in various audio apps or DAWs. You can easily monitor the output via the headphone jack or the amp out jack. Gain and volume dials allow for simple adjustments.

Doesn't work with iPad Pro
A Google search of the model number indicates that this is compatible with the 9.7" iPad Pro, but it isn't.
