About
I started off buying and selling classic audio gear and still do occasionally. I've always loved fishing and have shifted most of my focus to buying and selling fishing gear. My standards are high and I sell only what I would be proud to own myself.

Won the Kenwood 600T Tuner then began the amazing part of this deal which involved the seller highvolts. Communication was outstanding, but the most critical part when dealing with Vintage Audio Equip starts and ends with safe packing, seller completely accomplished this. If you find any item from this seller BUY IT. Winning, paying, packing, shipping, receiving, unpacking, set up and enjoying the Tuner all happened during Christmas week. Thank You highvolts.

Redington Rise III Fly Reels or Spools Ultra-Large Arbor Carbon Fiber Drag

Redington Rise III, a real jewel of a reel at a great price
I purchased a couple of the Redington Rise reels in the 5/6 size. I believe this is the best trout reel Redington has ever made and for my money, it's one of the top trout fly reels on the market. It's great looking, has a strong drag and simple bushing/spindle setup (no bearings to fuss with) and I love the push button spool release. It spins nicely and the large drag knob is easy to adjust with gloves on. Hopefully, that won't mean it gets caught on my fly line, but hey that does seem to happen every once in a while anyway. I might have preferred it not to have the red highlights, but I guess a little color against the black doesn't hurt anything. I would have also preferred it to be made in the USA, but that probably couldn't happen for a reel of this quality and at the current price point. I have a couple of Galvan's Torque fly reels (over $100 dollars more costly); and this one, while not quite as nice as the Torque, is very close!

Nice vintage fly reel
The Ross Cimarron is a very nice looking reel and a good choice for all around fly fishing if you don't need a large arbor reel. I like it's classic look and sturdy build. Not much to complain about, but I don't care much for the plastic clicker pawl and fiber gear that drives it and controls the winding direction. The gear will eventually wear (I had one that did) and cause a rough feel on line out. Otherwise, a great reel! I do recommend it for everyday fly fishing, but it's probably not the best choice for heavy use.

Kansas Dud
CD was perfect. I thought the music was boring. The perfect title. I love classic Kansas, but this does not compete!
