Nice Enough Loco...

This particular model was the first OO engine I acquired. It is lovely to look at, and overall is a nice (enough) model. The "Ringfield" tender-drive however, has its limitations: a rather high start-up speed, so it is not the greatest performer. This is to be expected from a 3-pole motor of this type of design. Good enough for mainline running, but leave the low-speed jobs to your Bachmann can-motored engines.

Nice Little Pacific

Not completely "brass" and not completely "die cast". Nice enough detail, the brass gears make it a little on the loud side. Not on a level with a PFM or United model, but not bad either. As they say these days; "it is what it is".
