Very useful device
This speaker system is very handy for setting up and testing audio systems. I carry about six of them to listen to multiple lines simultaneously. Don't expect booming bass, but if you need to quickly prove that an output has left & right channel, the correct source, frequency range sounds normal, no noise, etc. on a line out, this amplified stereo speaker system is great. Headphones work too, but you cannot wear 6 pairs at once. Thumbs up.

The HP 5036A has many uses in the lab.
1 of 1 found this helpful Most think of the 5036A as a tool for introducing students to microprocessors. Well, it is. BUT, it is also a great tool to test and/or demonstrate gear in the lab! When it is working properly, you can use it's predictable signals and test routines to test or demo logic probes, scopes, signature analyzers, logic analyzers, micro-system troubleshooting hardware, word and pulse generators, and more. Hewlett Packard literature that normally accompanies this tool is excellent; classic HP detail doesn't leave you wanting for information. I recommend this tool for students and technicians. Money well spent.

Not that good.
I have been buying a lot of magnifying glasses to inspect solder joints in the field. I wouldn't by this one again.
