Good Value for Cheap
3 of 3 found this helpful I was asked to pay $400 when I bought the car two years ago at the dealership, so it was great to pay slightly more than $100 for this convenient feature. There are three drawbacks that I've discovered so far, viz. (a) it doesn't allow some addresses to be entered; (b) it's different from Google Maps, i.e. it takes a different route and distance is slightly more than Google, and it also doesn't consider the road conditions or when I had gone past the turning and doesn't tell me to go back (once, I hit a dead end by mistake but it kept on telling me to keep going); (c) it's note easy to input the address (too many boxes to fill in), unlike Google, which provides suggested destinations and I often don't have to finish keying in the complete address. Other than that, the speed limit display is pretty useful, especially when we've exceeded it. Also, it's nice to have some color perspective of the landscape. What was really useful was that it keeps on working in the background and display every approaching road, which helps to know where you're going because many streets in Houston don't have proper road signs. In fact, most places throughout the U.S. don't have proper and adequate road signs, unlike many countries, including China, which has excellent road signs in the cities. So, this makes it a worthwhile buy.
