Hallie started Works of Heart by Hallie in 2009 when she and her husband moved to the White Salmon area. Her unique handcrafted greeting card business expanded into selling cards on commission at the local florist. Beading began shortly thereafter when she and her husband frequented the White Salmon Glassblowing business and Hallie discovered lamp work beads created by a local artist. Hallie was successful beading her first necklace and the love of beading eclipsed the card business. Hallie has sold her cards and necklaces at Trellis Fresh Flowers, Artisans and local craft fairs deriving a special love for “making people happy”. Hallie has amassed a large inventory of beads and loves creating one of a kind pieces. Originally, Hallie learned to melt broken pieces of glass into pendants, attach a pendant bail to the glass, matching bead color to the glass and creating one-of-a-kind necklace. Hallie taught herself to create beaded lattice bracelets and developed a selection of original “Boot Straps”. An idea developed from an over large bracelet that morphed into a “Boot Strap”; bling for your boots. Now Works of Heart by Hallie is evolving into a cottage business being launched on line. We are excited to begin this new venture and hope you enjoy these individual creations.
