Good brand
The older model lasted for 4 years with no problems so far. This is the newer style bulbs that is supposed to be better T8 supplemented the T12. This large enough to be quite effective indoors. The housing on this newer one is either less robust or it arrived tweaked but it is operational. Gardner seems to be a good brand. This not better than expected but quite satisfactory.

worth owning
It determines the actual amp hour capacity your battery is still capable of. This provides warning of failure or impending poor performance well ahead and it does this with out loading battery and wasting another charge cycle.

Seems to work well.
Hooked up as expected though it was a newer model with some changes in the electrical I/O but easy to figure out. The AC portion my old one failed after two years. This one is supposed to have resolved that weakness in design. The old one still drives the compressor on DC so I am keeping it as a reserve. The commonly offered price is pretty high but there are good buys out there. I would not hesitate to purchase another if needed to replace the old model in my second refrigerator.
