(2002-10-01) Standard Handbook for Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineers, Dav

    Not what was hoped for...
...let me clarify. Ten years down the road, I am still in shock from SAE's transition from printed media. On the ground vehicle (automotive) side of SAE, they used to publish the entire collection of specifications, annually, in several bound volumes. Cough up the bucks, and everything was there to peruse as needed. Today's SAE is a hollow shell of its former self, designed to extract as much money from the working professional as possible. Everything is hidden in tightly limited subscriptions. SAE is no longer a place to seek knowledge. Having crossed to the aerospace side, I had hoped to find this older book similar to the ground vehicles handbook - a complete collection that one could browse to map out new territory. Unfortunately not. It is an encyclopedic compilation of aerospace topics and engineering practice, the ultimate set of crib notes, valuable in its own right, but pretty much useless in cracking the code of today's online subscription money machine. This book is a good bedside reader, which I shall keep.

    Data Migration
Purchased this (Q2007) as an intermediate step between Q2003 and the current version, to move old data onto a new machine & version. Appears to have imported well, but haven't had the opportunity to check it out thoroughly. The thumb drive cleared all virus/malware checks and the software installed without issue. Quicken offers migration service for $99, but I don't fancy shipping the last 20 years of my financial life off to India for the service.
