failed extension out of laptop bay
0 of 1 found this helpful Bought it to extend ide hdd outside laptop bay, sadly, both header and ribbon failed, why?, because bay has sensory of hdd presence. It was confirmed by utilizing header and ribbon on ide hdd connected into an external usb firewire hdd adapter into the hosting pc, and ide was accessible proving worthiness

metallurgy
Fabrication metallurgy lacking
Thus metal fatigue ensues
Thus competition faltered

not robustful too weakling material chosen
too weak NOT STEEL, design is not robust
why
dimensions are chosen to reduce material because of dimensional size constraints
used in wraparound studs, bushings & wraparound castings or milled
true material torque, to achieve sonic contiguity, can not be achieved because of the weak material brass and reduced dimensional size that would fail if torqued to achieve usable sonic transmit material compression of the separable parts involved
bottom line, not robustful enough for the duty application, 120 pounds of string pulling force ignoring live loading during virtuoso acrobatics
