What I think about the long awaited 42009 mobile crane.
I waited 2 years for this, and finally jumped on buying it. I was not about to lose a chance at owning one after passing on the 8421 and regret never being able to find it reasonably price since... So what I think... The 42009 is high quality, complex, and amazes me just how intelligent Lego engineers really are with each build I have done. Worth every penny. I also bought the crawler crane. Both are great!
My only complaint? Crane pivots on base by hand. Not mechanically with on-board electric motor. But does that really matter? No. Still a great work of art and function! Thanks again Lego for a 40 year relationship! What great set will I be buying next?
