This is worth trying!
I had a knee replaced and this greatly relieved, not eliminated, the muscle pain. When you rub it in there is no reaction like you would get normally from other products that burn, but after several minutes you realize the pain is a lot less intense and you are more comfortable. Don't put it on skin that is raw or stitched closed, or expose it to hot water right after you rub it in, then you will feel a burning sensation.
This has a light, non-medicinal smell that's nice and the body butter moistens the skin. I had one tub of this and it's mostly gone so now I have two more.
