About us
Anita Belles Porterfield, a longtime member of the National Book Critics Circle, wrote hundreds of book reviews during her lifetime. In 2014, she and her husband John submitted a co-authored manuscript to the Mayborn Literary Non-fiction Conference, where it was one of the winners. The book was published as Death on Base.
By 2018, Anita and John had two more books finished, when a bizarre accident sent Anita to the ICU. Before she had fully recovered, Anita was diagnosed with cancer. She lost her battle with cancer last summer.
During all their years of living in the Texas Hill Country, the two of them encountered numerous other authors and amassed a very large collection of books. Most are first editions and most inscribed by the authors. There are simply too many to move, so over the next few months we will be posting most of them for sale here on eBay.The size and diversity is truly amazing, so check back frequently.
