Good Pump, Check Your Fittings!
1 of 1 found this helpful CHECH ALL OF THE FITTINGS FOR TIGHTNESS!!! The pump itself is well built and a good deal for the price. Once assembled, I tested the pump per the instructions to 2000psi and then let it stand for 10 minutes to see if there were any leaks. I couldn't get the pump to go over 1000psi. Once I reached that pressure, I heard a slight 'psst' sound after each pump stroke. The gage needle held steady at 1000psi no matter how much i pumped. I found that the quick disconnect fitting on the end of the hose was just a little more than finger tight. After finding that, I checked and retightened all the fittings on the pump. Retesting the pump, it easily pumped up to 2000psi and held for 35 minutes before I released the pressure, No Leaks! My advice is to check all of the fittings and make sure they are tight. The instructions are poorly written, but doable. I would recommend this to a friend.
