They are overseas since I’m in the US, but the item arrived within an acceptable time frame. Communication was also very prompt and professional. Thank you!

It is Aluminum.
I found out these are indeed _Aluminum_ rods. Not aluminum aluminum "low temperature" brazing rods. So no good for aluminum brazing since it melts at the same temperature as the base material. I guess they use this for aluminum tig welding or something, but for me, these were of no use.

Excellent little switching converters.
Bought 4 of them. The arrival to Finland took over 4 weeks but all of the BECs seem to work very well.
I put all of them under 2 ohm resistive load for a short period of time. Idle voltages were 5.03-5.05 volts and at about 2.5 amps, the voltage in the end of the BECs own cable was 4.96v. I didn't do any ripple tests.
Only bad feature I found was that they get very hot if you are constantly pulling over 2 amps in room temperatures. But this is very expected. These things are very small and they are not able to dissipate much heat underneath the shrink. If there's some airflow or the air temperature is colder, there should be no worries. You could always add a little heatsink to the bec and then it could easily handle constant 3A in room temperature.
There might be some kind of overcurrent protection preventing you from pulling more than 3 Amps (drops output voltage if you try to pull too much). This may be good or bad thing depending on the situation. Anyways, I recommend using a couple hundred microfarads of capacitance in both ends (input and output) if these are going to any serious use.
And if you are wondering, these are SWITCHING converters, which in my case is a very positive thing. They can handle input voltages all the way up to 25 volts. I used both 2s and 6s lipo in my testing. They didn't get much hotter on 6s than 2s.

Okay connectors, although quality is not the best possible.
Of course these are knock-offs, but the ones that arrived to me are not the best quality I've ever got at this price. These are a bit more orangish than the usuals. The plastic is also harder and connecting these feel rougher than some better quality ones. But I'd say good enough for connecting your mess arounds together!
