One of the Great Women of World Song
When your'e listening to Natalia, there's not a man who can sing that matters. We've been playing this album at Christmas, and I think it fits the season, though it probably wasn't her intention to make holiday music. There is such joy in music making here, both from Natalia and all her exceptionally talented instrumentalists. Their accompaniments are so enrapturing, they sweep one away. It's all so cosmopolitan, so sophisticated, so warm, so intimate, so local. I was born in San Antonio, Texas, now live in Williamsburg, Virginia, my anglo ancestors came to Texas around 1820, my father's people were already there over 14,000 years ago. God bless Mexico, and God help the USA. Viva Natalia!
