Lose ability to play MP3s via Aux with these units
We replaced our head unit in our 2007 V70 with one of these $125 uints. The new unit arrived and looks good with only minor wear. After several hours of wresting, bleeding, and swearing, the new one did "fit". However, we LOST the ability to play MP3s via a phone and headphone jack, which was one of the criteria for buying the vehicle in the first place: There is no "AUX" setting via the source knob selector anymore, which means I need to AGAIN replace it. Frankly, I'd rather not have a radio at all than lose the ability to play the music I want.
I guess my advice is this: HU-650 is INSUFFCIENT INFORMATION to know whether a unit will work. Maybe the serial # on the inside of the old radio gives more info.
