New i5871 arrived used and not working.
Item advertised 'New' Unused -
1) The unit arrived and look ‘like-new’ but observed it had been used as there were call logs on both base unit and handset. Also voice messages were still on the answering machine.
2) The handset does not sync up with the base unit. It displays ‘Searching for base unit’ whenever attempt is made to draw dial tone.
3) Tested the base unit ‘Intercom’ button resulting in a display “Connection to Handsets Failed”
I own a i5871 for 12+ years now which is a great cordless phone loaded with excellent features (which I still use but the handset has developed static during use). I’ve tried several attempts to get this "NEW / USED" i5871 to sync up with it’s base unit but with no luck.
