ESS Mens Watch Automatic White Dial Brown Leather Minimal Analog Dispaly Luxury

Wish they were more water resistant, but like the look and price enough I'm buying again.

I have both the black band and face, as well the brown band and white face, like in this particular selection, as well as another ESS branded watch that includes the date and numbers. I'm not a watch aficionado, but I enjoy where a simple analog watch, especially at this price. The white face has a better contrast for quicker viewing, and while it isn't exactly "smooth" as other reviews have pointed out, I do enjoy that it's a genuine mechanical piece, not another battery watch. I've had an old solar-charged Casio since 2014, and wish I could find another like it-- been through four bands with it, but still runs and almost never lets me down. Now these ESS' will have to be wound at least once a day, this one I accidentally wrecked, either while working around too much water at my job, or by winding too far, or both. It feels bound, but I feel it's on me. So far, the other two watches are fine as long as I wind them a bit, usually twice a day just to be safe. And I'm about to re-buy this color scheme to replace my oopsie. Do I wish it was more water resistant? Sure. But for the cost, it's an understated piece of simple and clean style that suits me.

Needs to be moved to the right angle to tell time due to light reflection.

Good sturdy watch, reliable enough, but in certain lighting situations it's not a quick-glance kind of watch. The combination of glare of the glass and the chrome needles means the chrome doesn't always stand out against the black face of the watch until you move it just right so they reflect back. If they were a red needle, or had something to better contrast it, it'd be fine.
