Good trouble shooting aid.
Helpful for troubleshooting old analog devices.
Cap discharge switch could be a little more robust.

TEK DMM 4020
The Tektronix DMM4020 and its twin the Fluke 8808 are sensible and reasonable priced bench 5.5 digit multimeters. Fluke developed this meter to replace the older Fluke 45 with enhancements. The 45 was a dual display meter as well with remote control capabilites but had only 4.5 digits resolution. This meter can emulate 45 commands so no need to extensively revise existing software. One improvement over the 45 is the ability to perform 4 wire resistance measurements for better accuracy at lower resistance values.
I would like to have seen the ability to measure capacitance added to this meter, after all it is on virtually every higher end multimeter Fluke makes as well as some of their less expensive products.

This is a good quality meter with many helpful functions including IR temperature measurement and capacitor measurement. I compared the AC current readings with those of my Fluke 336 and they were every bit as good and in some instances better. I do wish that Extech/Flir had put ACI inrush capability on this meter but other than that I really can find no fault with the meter.
