Comprehensive Book for the Pacific NW

I have purchased a lot of books to try to figure out how best to landscape my side yards. I also wanted native plants or plants that will thrive in the weather extremes of this area. Finally! A great book with layouts, pictures of the plants & set up for sunny, part sun & shady areas. The details are great. It’s a smallish book with a lot of bang for your buck.

One Great Camera

I wanted this camera when it first came out. I have its predecessor, the SX20. The SX60 has everything and more! The zoom range is out of this world. I took pictures from the roadway of Mt. Hood and it looked like your were 20ft away. I put it on my camera mount on my motorcycle and the stabilization worked great and I had a clear movie of a neat twisty road I love to ride. Best of all, and the reason I did not want the SX70, is the hot shoe for a flash attachment. This camera is almost a "do it all dolly" for those who don't want to carry a big case of lenses into the field and still have great photos. This camera is a fantastic point and shoot with DSLR features and all for a very affordable price.

Don't bother with this book

Unless you are a simpleton, don't bother with this book. There are other books out there that offer more insight into beginner quilting techniques than this book offers. I do not recommend this book at all.
