The Mindful Brain by Daniel J. Siegel
Great book for new brain research, especially "mirror" cells. Once again consciousness is much more than brain function and meditation can increase one's capacity to experience "extraordinary" pereceptions and bliss. My doctoral professor suggested this book since I am interested in the effect of mother's meditating during pregnancy.

Good beginning for multiple ages, but missing diverse races and cultures~
I would like the photos and pictures to be diverse from many cultures. Also, the lesson plans are not inclusive of many cultures and races.

The Inclusive Early Childhood Classroom
2 of 2 found this helpful This book has great ideas for dealing with 6 areas of disabilities and can be used in Head Start, State Preschool and other early childhood classrooms. I am using it in an "Special Needs Curriculum" class in community college and students like it the best of any text that I have used.
