Klipsch R-15M Reference Bookshelf Monitor Speakers - Pair (Black)

Too expensive

I got a pair of these new for $129.00 on Black Friday. At that price they're a good deal. However I would not recommend paying the retail price of $250. I have many Klipsch speakers, these are inferior to my other Reference series speakers. First, the tweeter is Aluminum, not Titanium. It used to be that Ref. series meant you'd get Titanium tweeters, not with these. Also, the grills are held on with cheap plastic pegs that are virtually guaranteed to break. My other Ref speakers have magnetic grills, much better. Finally, the finish of the speaker enclosure looks like cheap plastic and will easily scratch. In my opinion the Klipsch R-15M is an Icon KB-15 speaker with a Reference series woofer installed. Sounds good, but over priced.

Yamaha RX V995 5.1 Channel 100 Watt Receiver

Great for stereo sound

The RX-V995 is one of my most powerful Yamaha receivers sounding just as strong as the more expensive RX-V2700. This is an older pre HDMI unit with most of the controls being on the front panel so it's easy to set up even if you don't have the giant original remote controller. The RX-V995 sounds best in stereo mode with incredible dynamic range easily pushing a pair of Klipsch RF-3 II's to furniture penetrating sonic levels with the volume at about 35%. The panel lights on these tend to go dim after a number of years. However all functions can be displayed if you connect a TV screen to the 'monitor out' jack on the receiver. I love my RX-V995 and wouldn't sell it for anywhere near what I paid for it(less than $100)!

KLIPSCH SYNERGY C-2 CENTER SPEAKER (Bi-Wire 2-way, 5.25" Dual Woofers)

Clear as a Bell!

This center channel speaker is a perfect match for the Klipsch Synergy F1 tower speakers. They're both black with titanium accents and a big square "tractrix" tweeter horn. The dialog in movies is super crisp and everything is clear with a high sensitivity of 95db. Great Klipsch quality at an affordable price, Recommended.
