The new "China " stamped knives are not as strong.
I have a set of Foreversharp steak knives that I have used for several years. They are great for cutting meat, fruit, vegetables and sharp cheese.
I was happy to find another set so I can add to my collection when I have company over.
The new set had the word " China " stamped on the knife on the silver part near the handle. My old set did not. When I used the new "China" knife to cut a slice of sharp cheese, the plastic handle broke! The silver knife part was at a 90° angle. Therefore, that knife I had to throw away .So now I check before I cut cheese. I make sure that I use my old ones without the "China" stamp.
