Experience America in the 1770's
The Outlander books are engaging and informative. Diana Gabaldon, the writer, is exceptional, The Fiery Cross, is the fifth book in a series of nine and gives the experience of living in America in the 1770's. Her characters are fascinating especially Jamie and Claire as their lives and love mature. Her first book, Outlander, was like a dear friend I couldn't let go of. Each book has been a rewarding journey and adventure. I recommend starting from the first book for the most rewarding experience.

Unique Love Story in Opera and Dance
This is a DVD of a 1951 production. Hoffman has three loves each thwarted by a nemesis. The music and production were ahead of its time in 1951. It is still very special. It would be wonderful to see a contemporary version. The music, choreography, dancing, costumes and make-up are unique, performances over the top and fabulous. I love it and remember it well.
