Easy install
This is a quick & easy install as long as you have the 5 push-in plastic fasteners. You have to temporarily disconnect the windshield washer hoses. Takes 10 minutes and does quiet the engine sounds.

Makita is a great value!
I have had several miter saws over the years -- Delta's and Porter Cable's. For the money you can't beat Makita. I used it to cut crown and base molding and was very impressed with the quality of the cuts with the stock blade as well as the precision of the mechanism. I took some time to tweak the factory setup to make it cut dead-on (always a good idea to check the setup before you start your project). I love the slow start feature -- makes it easy to get the blade when you want it on the piece without worrying about the jump of the start-up torque of other saws. Highly recommend!
