VSX-90 Pioneer Elite Receiver
0 of 2 found this helpful This is a good receiver, but it's doesn't have the power to (100 watts per channel) maintain a home theater set up that demands as much as mine does. I have 9 speakers and a 350 watt subwoofer. When cranking up the volume, the receiver just couldn't output the power needed for such a set up and would shut off. This receiver would be a great choice for a den or family room set up. Fortunately for me, I was able to exchange it from the vendor that I purchased it from when I explained my situation above. I opted for the Pioneer Elite SC-95 ($1199.99) which outputs 135 watts per channel. I would HIGHLY recommend the SC-95 for a more demanding home theater set up. It is an unbelievable receiver! The sound and video quality is off the charts!
